Due to a vacancy opening up within our team, we are looking for a goal- and team-oriented personality for our division Industrial X-Ray Modules at our location in Flamatt as a FEM-Simulation Spezialist (m/f/d).


IIn this position, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • FEA simulations of electron trajectories, magnetic-, electric- and temperature-fields, and structural mechanics effects with Comsol-Multiphysics.
  • Montecarlo simulations concerning interaction of electrons with matter and absorption of y-radiation.
  • Verification of simulation results by experiments with specific test setups.
  • Development of tools for automated data acquisition (e.g. with Python).
  • Participation in task forces as scientific support


For this exciting and versatile position, you will bring the following with you:

  • Diploma as experimental physicist or as engineer- ETH (FH) (electrical or mechanical engineering).
  • Sound know-how and several years of experience with Comsol-Multiphysics required
  • Basic knowledge / experience in the field of X-ray physics, high voltage technology, vacuum technology desirable resp. advantageous
  • Basic knowledge in the field of materials engineering advantageous
  • English and German language skills required
