Cyber Security Engineer 100% (m/f/d)

What will you do?

  • Develop and implement robust cyber security strategies, policies, and procedures across all sites of COMET AG, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular assessments of existing cyber security applications and technologies, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain cyber security applications, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, anti-malware solutions, data loss prevention tools, and secure remote access solutions.
  • Monitor and analyze security logs and events to identify and respond to potential security incidents, conducting investigations and implementing remediation actions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into system architectures, applications, and infrastructure designs, ensuring a holistic and comprehensive approach to cyber security.
  • Conduct security assessments and penetration tests on critical systems and applications to identify vulnerabilities and provide recommendations for remediation.
  • Stay up to date with the latest cyber security threats, trends, and technologies, and proactively make recommendations for enhancements to the organization's security posture.
  • Provide guidance and support to IT teams and end-users on security best practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and deliver training programs and awareness campaigns to educate employees on cyber security risks and promote a security-conscious culture across the organization.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and partners to evaluate and integrate third-party cyber security solutions as needed.
  • Participate in incident response activities, including investigations, containment, eradication, and recovery.
  • Maintain documentation of cyber security processes, procedures, and configurations.

 

Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience (X years) working as a Security Engineer, with a strong focus on cyber security applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of various cyber security technologies, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, anti-malware solutions, DLP, secure remote access, etc.
  • Familiarity with industry frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001) and their practical application.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, TCP/IP, and network security concepts.
  • Experience with security assessment tools and techniques, such as vulnerability scanners, penetration testing frameworks, and log analysis tools.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and security-related tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Global mindset and willingness to travel to different sites of COMET AG as required
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and recommend effective solutions.
  • Fluent skills in German and English (written & spoken)
