The Finance department is part of the Central Services that supports the market-oriented divisions of Comet Group. It is responsible for the operation, maintenance and further development of Comet IT Services, the network and the infrastructure.

 

Due to succession planning in our Finance team, we are looking for a team-oriented and energetic professional to join our Finance team in Central Services as Division Controller, Finance & Strategy IXM.

 

What will you do?

  • Lead the Financial Planning efforts and execution for the division. Financial planning activities including quarterly financial and operational forecasts and mid-term strategic planning.
  • Execute the strategy to meet or exceed the division financial, operational, or ESG related KPIs. 
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all division financial reporting
  • Prepare and present financial presentation materials to the company’s executive committee, board of directors or internal division management.
  • As a senior sparring partner to the division President, be informed about the activities and processes of the individual divisions/business units/departments and is regularly present at all globally relevant locations.
  • Lead Business Transformation projects that drive scalability and improvement of the overall performance and sustainability of group services worldwide
  • Develop high-trust relationships with Comet executives and finance leaders to deeply understand long-term business objectives and uncover opportunities to accelerate growth and drive efficiencies as well as lead and influence a global team
  • As a member of the Finance leadership team, invest in the finance team's core skills of business acumen and operational excellence
  • Focus on operational excellence, including investment in the tools and processes that provide improved outcomes and experiences for business and finance partners; increase the consistency and quality of reporting to provide clear insights and speed of decision-making
     

Who are we looking for?

  • 6 years’ experience in senior finance leadership roles partnering with business leaders and executives, including direct experience interacting with Senior Management
  • Experience managing a P&L. Possess in-depth knowledge of the organization, technology, products and in particular the markets and customers.
  • Master degree in Finance, Accounting or an equivalent qualification
  • Previous experience in a Swiss listed company or other listed exchange (Public Company experience required) with international operations
  • Fluent in English written and spoken; C1 German written and spoken
  • Digital affinity and solid experience with MS Office, SAP, Hyperion, or other business intelligence and consolidation systems and advanced Excel
  • Experience in project management, strategic change & transformation of Finance functions
  • Advanced analytics capabilities; can carry out independent analysis across the entire value chain, and provide proactive, predictive analysis that drives decision making.
  • Technical and methodological competence in financial corporate planning, reporting, cost accounting, and can present convincingly and in a targeted manner in English.
  • Experience in negotiating and establishing contracts with customers and suppliers
  • International experience through internship, study abroad, assignment abroad etc.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, engineering of high-tech hardware and software
  • Prior success in developing a team
