The COMET Group is a global leader in providing high-quality components, systems and services that optimize its customers' products and processes in the fields of X-ray-, vacuum- and radio frequency technology.


The department IT is part of the Service Centre, which supports the market-oriented divisions of the COMET Group through its central services. It is responsible for the operation, maintenance and further development of Comet IT services, network and infrastructure.


To complement our IT team, we are looking for a goal- and team-oriented personality at our location in Flamatt as a Project Manager ITC/PLM (m/f/d).


What will you do?

  • Lead, oversee and direct projects of varying size from initiation through closing
  • Collaborate with IT and Business project stakeholders to develop project charter including scope and timeline
  • Allocate resources to project, negotiate commit dates, and drive for on time delivery
  • Determine and manage project budget including cost approvals and collaborate with strategic purchasing and controlling to optimize cost/benefit
  • Plan and manage risk and create strategies for contingency planning and mitigation
  • Identify and solve project constraint issues effectively and expeditiously
  • Escalate issues if necessary and lead team through corrective action process
  • Ensure effective stakeholder management including external partners and vendors


Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) or Engineering with related IT/OT (operational technology) experience
  • 8+ years of program/project management experience leading complex technical projects
  • Experienced with product lifecycle management (PLM) and waterfall project management techniques including CPM (critical path method), as well as agile methodologies
  • Business acumen and project financial knowledge including ROI calculation
  • Knowledge of Organizational Change Management practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English are mandatory
  • Customer oriented team player and creative thinker with a positive, can-do attitude, open to change and a strong drive for continuous improvement
  • Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with diverse internal customers and senior stakeholders, fostering partnerships quickly to lead vendors and technical teams in a matrix
