R&D Data Specialist 80-100% (m/f/d)

Comet PCT manufactures specialized components needed for the precise control of plasma processes and to enhance the performance of manufacturing equipment. These are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens, such as those used today in sensors, smartphones, or tablets.

We are looking for a goal-oriented and team-oriented personality for our Plasma Control Technologies Division at the Flamatt site as R&D Data Specialist 80-100% (m/f/d).

In this role, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Analyzing measurement and process data
• Developing web tools for data visualization and analysis
• Developing user friendly, secure, and meaningful ways for data collection and storage (Python Scripts, REST API, web apps etc.)
• Developing efficient and fast data analysis methods for signals, process and business data
• Maintaining data base and data integrity
• Supporting engineers in data collection and analysis

For this exciting and versatile position, you will bring the following with you:

• A solid background in computer science, mathematics, engineering or similar (BA or MA Level)
• Profound knowledge and years of experience with Python
• Experience in web programming (Python, Django)
• Experience in data base design, management, and query
• Knowledge in machine learning and/or big data
• As an optimal addition you have knowledge in the areas of Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Jira/Confluence
• Familiarity with agile software development methods.
• Proficiency in English (oral/written), any other language is a plus
