COMET Technologies USA is the headquarters as well as an important sales, distribution and service hub for the COMET Group. From this modern facility, we provide our innovative COMET X-ray and ebeam source technology and portable X-ray systems to leading manufacturers, research labs and government sites within North and South America.

 

 

 

Summary

Under the direction of the HR Director - North America, the Talent Acquisition Manager will develop and implement programs and processes for attracting, hiring and retaining skilled employees to timely fulfill COMET Technologies USA and ORS Canada business needs. He / she will take proactive approaches to improve the employer brand and network to recruit quality candidates and build pipelines to reduce time-to-hire.  

 

 

Essential Duties: 

  • Determine current staffing needs and produce forecasts
  • Develop talent acquisition strategies and hiring plans
  • Cross-functional collaboration for employment branding initiatives
  • Perform sourcing to fill open positions and anticipate future needs
  • Plan and conduct recruitment and selection processes (interviews, screening calls etc.)
  • Plan and conduct new hire on-boarding
  • Perform candidate and new hire screening and pre-employment requirements to ensure compliance with US and Canada employment law[s] and Comet Group policies and procedures
  • Take steps to ensure for positive candidate experience[s]
  • Assist in employee retention and development
  • Provide Leadership for collaboration across Business Divisions for establishing and sustaining effective University Relations programs and internships
  • Organize and/or attend career fairs, assessment centers or other events
  • Use metrics to create reports and identify areas of improvement

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with hiring managers and Division Leaders to forecast staffing needs
  • Improve the recruitment process by conducting candidate experience surveys
  • Host or participate in recruitment events to grow and sustain effective network of potential hires
  • Source potential candidates to fill talent pipelines through social media and Boolean searches using Google or other methods
  • Transform recruiting from an as-needed function to a proactive hiring function
  • Proactively create and build candidate pipelines for current and future staffing needs
  • Recruit diverse employees by strategically sourcing candidates from various backgrounds
  • Maintain relationships with past candidates for future opportunities
  • Hire high performance individuals who have the capacity and capability to grow beyond their role[s]

Education and / or Experience:

  • Requires BSc / BA in Business Administration, Human Resources or relevant field

 

Language Skills

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively communicate with groups of managers, customers, and employees within and outside of the organization.

 

Analytical and Reporting Skills:

  • Ability to work with basic business analysis concepts and to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to business and environmental situations to provide for work force planning and analysis and reporting to business division leaders.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

 

Other Qualifications:

Requires the ability to operate a variety of standard office machines, to include a computer, telephone, fax, copier, etc. Must have competency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
