Applications Engineer (automotive) - Comet Yxlon (SF/ Bay Area)

What will you do?

• Perform sales applications on Comet Yxlon's Computed Tomography (CT) and Digital Radiography (DR) systems specially focused on Semiconductor and Surface Mount Technology (SMT)
• Fundamental optimization of application methods already in use
• Consulting support for project execution and acceptance
• Documentation of application results and preparation of application reports
• Support in the preparation of marketing materials
• Demonstration of DR and CT systems online, during in-house customer visits and at trade shows
• Internal and external application training
• Application services for strategic customers
• Customer support after commissioning
• Travel 40%

Who are we looking for?

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Natural Sciences or other relevant degree, or comparable knowledge acquired through work experience
• Three (3) years relevant work experience preferred

• Basic knowledge of X-ray technology and Computed Tomography (CT)
• Preference for knowledge in the field of industrial imaging X-ray processes focusing on Semiconductor and Surface Mount Technology (SMT)
• Demonstrates high customer orientation
• Works effectively in an integrated teamwork setting
• Written and verbal fluency in English
• Professional level communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams and external customers
• Must be authorized to work in the USA or ability to obtain work authorization

Compensation for this applications role is comprised of base salary and Sales Incentive Compensation ("commission"), due to the impact to sales and business growth.  The total target cash compensation for this role is approximately $200,000 to $215,000 annual.
