Firmware Engineer

The Division Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) is Comet’s largest division and a global leader in developing and producing high-performance Vacuum Capacitors, RF Matches and RF Generators for the semiconductor industry.

What will you do?

• Design and develop real-time embedded systems on a variety of MCUs
• Architect multi-processor embedded systems running a variety of RTOSs
• Hold and participate in peer code reviews
• Document designs and code using industry’s best practices
• Collaborate with other teams on system-level designs and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with the Verification team to create effective test plans
• Run unit tests and debug embedded code

Who are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• 5+ years’ experience in real-time embedded system design and development
• Solid understanding and experience in the ARM Cortex architecture
• Solid understanding and experience in real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS
• Mastery of C/C++ real-time embedded systems programming, with bare-metal experience
• Working knowledge of electronics schematics and PCBA bring-up
• Experience in SPI, I2C, Ethernet, and EtherCAT buses
• Experience with version control, continuous integration, and continuous testing methodologies

The target salary range for this job is approximately  $160,000 to $170,000 annually.
