Job Summary:

  • The Human Resource Manager, PCT USA, will lead and administer the Programs and Services of the Human Resources (HR) department in San Jose. CA for the PCT USA Business Division, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, enforcing company policies, procedures and practices and operational excellence for the effective and efficient implementation / execution of HR programs and services across PCT USA.


Managerial Responsibilities:

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff for PCT USA
  • Oversees and administers workflow and execution of the daily HR related programs and services
  • Provides constructive coaching and execution for timely performance evaluations and salary reviews
  • Administers discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Administers the LMS tool
  • Experienced ability to coach, guide and influence PCT USA Leadership, at all levels, to understand and follow-through timely with Comet Group and USA Specific policies and procedures
  • Manages risk associated with non-compliance by PCT USA employees regarding Group and USA level HR processes, programs and procedures



Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Partners and collaborates with the PCT USA leadership team to understand, administer and Implement the Comet Group human resource strategies particularly as it relates to recruiting, retention, training, salary reviews, performance management,  
  • Provides support, coaching and guidance to PCT USA Management and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Collaborates with Hiring Managers in the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, Engineering and other professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Effectively administers pay, time and attendance and benefits for PCT USA
  • Coaches Managers and guides them with learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for PCT USA employees.
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance with California and Federal regulations and programs
  • Supports and collaborates in matters regarding workplace safety and OSHA compliance
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge and experience with SAP and SAP SuccessFactors a plus
  • Skilled in change management and cultural transformation
  • A skilled collaborator and capable of effective HR operational excellence to fulfill results and outcomes with efficiency and effectiveness
  • Process and Project management skills desired


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • A minimum of 6 years of human resource management experience
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.
  • Experience with HR in a high tech organization, preferably in the Silicon Valley is desired


Physical Requirements:

  • Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organizations facilities.
