The Division Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) is Comet’s largest division and a global leader in developing and producing high-performance Vacuum Capacitors, RF Matches and RF Generators for the semiconductor industry.


What will you do?

  • Assemble prototype and First Article RF matches and related assemblies with support from engineering & RD.
  • Provide expert inputs in the prototype phase and design review meetings for RF matches and related assemblies.
  • Work closely with COMET’s R&D Mechanical Engineers to ensure that products under development are of optimal manufacturability. 
  • First person to build the R&D prototypes as well as First Manufacturing Articles.
  • Identifies process and quality changes designed to improve manufacturing or department capabilities. Drives Lean, Safety and Quality. Takes corrective action.
  • Perform time study and look for the opportunities for reduction of the cycle time.
  • Capture the build of RF matches and provide redline for OMS and provide support to the Manufacturing Engineer during OMS development.
  • Monitor and verify BOMs (Bill of Materials and report any inconsistencies.
  • Train production on building NPI products as well as changes introduced to the existing products.
  •  Provide input into design and development of any required production fixtures.
  • Support failure analysis activities.
  • Assist in repair process as well as mechanical upgrades for RF matching networks.
  • Support Production builds as required.


Who are we looking for?

  • Associate Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on RF strongly preferred but not required
  • Workmanship standard training and experience
  • Must be able to read and redline Schematic and Mechanical Assembly drawings
  • 10+ years of experience in Mechanical and Electrical Assembly
