Responsibilities:

 

  • Plan, develop, execute, and improve advanced board-, module-, and system-level performance characterization tests for a wide variety of modules designed for advanced High-Power RF Matching Systems, including high-precision RF sensors and electromechanical control systems.
  • As part of the R&D team, closely collaborate with HW and FW design engineers and System Architects on the definition of performance characteristics, specifications, and associated test stations and procedures for new RF system modules.
  • Provide support to Test Engineering with the definition and qualification of auto-test procedures for test stations for Production
  • Create automated tools for the collection and analysis of large and complex data sets, extract and analyze relevant results, and communicate via comprehensive test reports.
  • Directly interface with product development teams and project managers
  • Participate in the technical direction of matching network products worldwide
  • Limited travel (< 10%)

 

Technical Qualifications and Skills:

 

  • BSEE, MSEE, or equivalent, with hands-on RF experience.
  • 10+ years of combined experience in product development, as well as planning and execution of advanced design qualification tests of mixed-signal PCBAs and modules. System-level test or design experience with kW-level RF is a plus.
  • Solid understanding and hands-on experience with the planning, design, set-up and operation of complex mixed-signal test stations, including VNA, power meters, spectrum analyzers, RF power generators, oscilloscopes.
  • Familiarity with characterizing and quantifying frequency- and time-domain performance parameters. Experience with writing scripts for automated data collection and processing (Python/Labview/Matlab).
  • Experience with applied metrology and pushing the performance limits of commercially available test equipment.
  • Solid understanding of data analysis methods for large and complex data sets. Familiar with QA concepts. Curious and analytical, with the ability to find the needle in the haystack! Experience with JMP is a plus.
  • Proven ability to identify, characterize, and solve complex RF and electro-mechanical system problems.
  • Strong written and verbal English skills.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a highly interactive, fast-paced team environment.
