To complement our team, we are looking for a customer- and team-oriented individual for our Industrial X-Ray Modules division at the Shelton, CT site as an

Industrial X-Ray Repair Technician.

In the Industrial X-Ray Modules division, we provide safer, more economical and breakthrough solutions for non-destructive testing and security applications through the pioneering development of intelligent industrial X-ray technologies.

 

This is what you will do:

As an X-Ray Repair Technician, you will work hands on with portable X-ray systems and open microfocus X-ray tubes as well as other COMET products and services.  You will diagnose & repair customer x-ray equipment in-house and document the work in SAP.

  • Evaluate and repair customer returned EVO / PXS / SMART Portable X-ray systems, and FXE & XRS X-ray system systems and subsystems.
  • Soldering and assembly work required.
  • Read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics and service manuals.
  • Provide support for internal electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Apply critical thinking skills to repair equipment by determining what is broken and setting a plan of action.
  • Write failure reports, data entry in SAP.
  • Ability to travel occasionally (less than 10%).

 

What you bring with you:

SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated skill with electronic and electrical tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of analog & digital systems.
  • Proficiency interpreting electronic & electrical schematics.
  • Computer skills to effectively note and log data, and written skills to effectively create repair summaries, findings, and reports.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates Degree in electronics, or trade school education in electronics or equivalent.
  • 1-5 years of experience in a comparable technical field.
  • Experience repairing low voltage electronics.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS):

  • Knowledge of ERP systems and SAP.

The target salary range for this job is approximately $75,000 to $85,000 annually.
