Director R&D (m/f/d)

Comet PCT produces critical subsystems which are required for the precise control of plasma processes. They help to increase the performance of the manufacturing equipment used for the production of microchips or touch screens used in sensors, smartphones or tablets.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a motivated and dynamic personality for our Division Plasma Control Technologies at our location in Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, Korea as Director R&D (m/f/d).

In this function you will be entrusted with the following main tasks:
•    Leadership and further development of the Asia Design Center Team 
•    Guide application engineers in the field to develop new opportunities for products
•    Perform as the key interface with customers to determine engineering requirements and build relationships 
•    Develop new plasma measurement systems and RF solutions to solve complex plasma power delivery problems
•    Directly interface with development teams and project management
•    Drive continuous improvements into products and product portfolio
•    Drive the industrialization of matching network products and transition into production 
•    Drive the technical direction of matching network products worldwide 
•    Act as the technical lead of the team for matters related to plasma physics, power RF, and embedded systems
•    Manage research projects using industry practices
•    Limited travel <25%

For this function you bring the following requirements:
•    MS or PhD of Engineering majors with an emphasis on RF 
•    Expertise in RF Plasma Delivery Systems and plasma measurement systems is a must
•    Minimum of 7 years of experience in product development of high-power RF devices and hands-on mentality
•    Proven ability to solve complex math and electrical systems problems
•    Experience with direct customer interaction is a must
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Korean and English language
